This is a busy role which requires an extremely well organised person who can interpret plans/specifications, produce accurate Quantity take-offs, develop pricing schedules, prepare and review tender documents and build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. The role requires you to work closely with the estimating team and reporting to the Senior Estimator.
Responsibilities
* Take offs and quantifying all aspects of each project
* Breaking down documentation into trades/suppliers and creating subcontractor RFQ packages
* Maintain document control throughout the span of each tender in line with company procedures
* Review, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
* Produce first principal pricing of landscape hardscape, softscape and grounds maintenance works
* Construction Gantt Chart programming, methodology writing and completion of qualitative tender criteria including expressions of interest
* Prepare commercial tenders from release of tender through to final reviews for submission
* Provide a high level of administrative and estimating support to the Senior Estimator
Qualifications
* Experience working in a similar role with a minimum 2 years as an estimator or QS. Commercial Landscape Construction preferred.
* Excellent computer skills with proficiency across Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with take-off software and Buildsoft preferred.
* Strong analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills, with strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret plans and specifications.
* Outstanding time management and the ability to work to a deadline independently or as part of a team.
