This NSW Government agency supports some of the state's most vulnerable customers by managing assets and financial matters on their behalf. Their Property team ensures customer vehicles are insured, registered, compliant and managed safely and accurately. Due to increased activity in the vehicle portfolio, they are seeking a Vehicle Property Officer who can manage a high volume of vehicle‑related matters with accuracy, care and strong customer service.
About your new role
This role manages day‑to‑day vehicle tasks including purchasing, selling, insurance, claims, valuations, registration and CTP administration. You will use internal systems to process transactions, coordinate external providers and support customers who often have limited capacity or understanding of vehicle processes. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, correct documentation and timely actions across every assigned case.
Key tasks for this role include:
* Managing vehicle purchases, sales, insurance, registration and CTP renewals
* Reviewing inspection reports using basic mechanical knowledge
* Processing claims, compliance checks and financial transactions for customer vehicles
* Liaising with external service providers, dealerships and assessors
* Maintaining accurate records in line with internal processes and legislative requirements
* Managing a high-volume caseload with competing priorities
* Explaining complex vehicle matters to customers in a clear, supportive and professional manner
* Identifying process improvements and contributing to better service outcomes
About You
You will succeed in this role if you have strong hands‑on experience managing vehicles and delivering high‑level customer service in a structured environment.
You will bring:
* Extensive experience managing vehicle sales, purchases, registration and insurance
* Basic mechanical knowledge to interpret inspection reports
* Strong administrative and digital skills to work across multiple systems
* High attention to detail and good financial accuracy
* Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with sensitive or vulnerable customers
* Ability to work through high caseloads and prioritize effectively
* Knowledge of Service NSW, Transport for NSW, Fair Trading or motor dealer licensing processes (ideal)
Bonus:
* Personal interest in vehicles, motoring or car ownership
* Experience supporting vulnerable customers or working in a government environment

Contract Length: 12 January 2026 to 5 April 2026
Pay Rate: $46.36 per hour + super
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Parramatta Justice Precinct | 160 Marsden Street
WFH: Hybrid available; first weeks onsite for training
