About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for testing payroll systems, ensuring compliance with Australian legislation, validating calculations, and supporting payroll software implementation or upgrades. You will work closely with payroll teams, business analysts, and developers to ensure accuracy, functionality, and performance of payroll systems. Key Responsibilities: Test end-to-end payroll processes, including earnings, deductions, superannuation, tax, and leave calculations. Validate data migration and system configuration during payroll system implementations or upgrades. Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM). Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and SIT (System Integration Testing) in collaboration with stakeholders. Verify compliance with Fair Work Act, ATO regulations, Single Touch Payroll (STP), and other relevant Australian payroll legislation. Work with payroll and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ensure test results are documented and communicated clearly to stakeholders. Participate in project meetings and provide feedback on payroll-related risks and issues. Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Payroll Tester or in a payroll-focused QA/testing role. Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including tax, superannuation, and leave entitlements. Experience testing enterprise payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, UKG Pro, Chris21, Workday, Preceda, Ascender). Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect management. High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
