We are seeking a motivated and enthusiasticLawyer/Associateto join us.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and regulatory approvals
Support partners in structuring capital raisings, takeovers, schemes of arrangement, and cross-border deals
Assist in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and corporate agreements
Conduct legal research and prepare client advice on corporate and competition law issues
Prepare and manage submissions, authorisations, and notifications to the ACCC
Support senior lawyers and partners in client meetings, transactions, and due diligence exercises
Work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality legal outcomes
About you
At least 3 years post-admission competition law experience
Experience in a range of competition and consumer law matters
Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients
Ability to effectively manage time, handle competing tasks, and work to tight deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a supportive and collaborative working style
Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman

This opportunity reports directly into partner Andrew Rankin.
Andrew is a highly experienced corporate and commercial lawyer based in Brisbane, with over 25 years in practice.
He is widely recognised for his expertise in competition and consumer law, regularly advising private and publicly listed companies across sectors such as financial services, health and life sciences, mining and agribusiness.
Andrew's deep understanding of the Competition and Consumer Act **** and Australian Consumer Law makes him a trusted advisor to both private and government clients.
