Residential Youth Support Worker Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Youth Support Worker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable young people in a residential setting, providing 24/7 support and assistance.
The successful candidate will be required to work a 24-hour roster, including day, evening and night shifts. They will need to have strong clinical skills, particularly in assessment and support of drug and/or alcohol withdrawal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualized care and support to young people with problematic alcohol and drug issues.
* Facilitate groups and recreational activities, promoting a positive and professional environment.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review care plans, ensuring the needs of young people are met.
* Communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, building trust and rapport.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated understanding of working with young people in a residential setting.
* Ability to facilitate groups and participate in recreational activities.
* Care planning and review skills, with experience in communicating with young people from diverse backgrounds.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

Job Details:
* Part-time (51.5 hours per fortnight).
* Fixed Term until August 2026.
* Remuneration SCHCADS level 3 or 4 + superannuation.
