Demi Chef - Full Time | IHG Hotels & Resorts
We're looking for a Demi Chef to support all kitchen activities and prepare our delicious food across an Al a Carte offering, helping create memorable experiences for guests wherever they dine.
You'll ensure quality, kitchen maintenance, and inventory functions meet our high standards and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Prepare various dishes, mainly for the Riverside Kitchen Breakfast.
Make every meal a feast for the eyes and a treat for the tastebuds by creating Al a Carte dining options.
Take ownership of your workstation – keep up with supplies, equipment, and waste.
Develop your team and improve performance through coaching and feedback – recognize good performance.
Maintain hygienic standards above HACCP requirements.
Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
Take on other ad-hoc duties as a true team player.
Qualifications
Experience in a busy al a Carte dining environment is preferred.
Right to legally work full time in Australia.
Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a registered training provider.
Current Safe Food Handling Certification.
Strong communication skills – warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to.
Flexibility – night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
Team player with a collaborative approach.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.
