UGL are seeking Coding Welders for our exciting new project at Hunter Power Station!
The Hunter Power Project is the construction of a 660MW Power Station comprising of two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines. Located in the in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, 35 km west of Newcastle
About You:
1. Ability to work alongside a variety of different trades
2. Read and interpret welding procedures and drawings supplied by a supervisor or client representative
3. Follow written and/or verbal instructions provided by a supervisor client’s representative
4. Care and maintain tools and equipment necessary to carry out all tasks
5. High attention to detail and ability to work well within a team environment
6. Oil and Gas experience is preferable
Key Requirements:
7. Trade qualified and able to weld Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Super Duplex and all other exotic materials
8. Pass a weld test prior to start
9. Experienced and competent in Pipe Welding to ASME IX, AS 4041 and AS2885 + Exposure to AS 3992
10. 100% Xray quality work
11. Construction White Card – (Mandatory)
12. Work Safely at Heights (Desirable) – Valid within last 2 years
13. Enter and Work in Confined spaces (Desirable) - Valid within the last 2 years
14. 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
