This family owned construction company specialises in commercial developments of schools, local council facilities and corporate offices and Insurance Repair to existing properties. They have an opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their head office team on a part time basis - 3 days/24 hours per week. The role will report to the 2 Directors.
**Responsibilities include / About the role**:
Insurance Repair Division
- Allocate work to Assistant Bookkeeper
- Ensure commercial viability of sub-contractor agreements
- Manage debt collections
- Weekly payroll for 22 employees and 30 subcontractors
Commercial Division
- Invoicing for monthly projects
- Prepare job summaries
- Organise Bank guarantees
- Manage sub-contractor orders for jobs
General Accounts
- Month end and Year end reporting
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage payroll
- Year end reconciliations
- Maintain fixed assets register
- Ensure GST is correct
- BAS lodgements
**What you need**
- Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
- MYOB proficiency ideally
- Minimum of Certificate IV, Registered BAS Agent
- Solid Bookkeeping experience
- Ideally previous construction experience
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
