About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven commercial leader with a passion for delivering outcomes in the fast-paced hotel industry. You will develop and implement sales strategies to maximise rooms and food & beverage revenue, achieve sales goals, and support the hotel's commercial objectives. You will lead the Sales team and develop integrated sales strategies to maximise market share, strengthen brand positioning, and drive sustainable revenue growth across all channels. Your leadership will build a high-performing team and foster a culture of excellence, accountability and commercial success. You will ensure sales and marketing strategies are set, tactical plans are created and executed, and results are monitored. Build, motivate and lead an effective sales and marketing team.

A little taste of your day-to-day

* Development and preparation of the annual business plan, operating budget, monthly reports and sales forecasts
* Lead the Commercial team and foster a positive work environment
* Provide mentoring, coaching and regular performance feedback to improve team performance, reward achievements, develop succession plans and identify high potentials
* Understand long-range forecast of the business and what tactical measures and pricing strategies are required to meet budgeted revenue targets
* Target new business conversion for assigned segments to meet and exceed revenue and profit targets
* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to generate groups and/or convention business, including room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services
* Lead tactical campaigns to secure new business, create an ongoing pipeline, and shift business from the competition through customer engagement
* Collaborate with Cluster Marketing to drive up-selling of hotel services, offerings, and amenities
* Monitor progress toward sales goals and adjust actions as necessary
* Monitor competitor practices and trends to keep products and services ahead of the competition
* Attend leadership team and revenue/yield meetings
* Support and drive sales initiatives for each property with client entertainment, familiarisations, and other events
* Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current and potential market and sales trends
* Drive revenue through targeted campaigns for designated segments and manage a robust sales pipeline


What We Need From You

* Must have unrestricted, full working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available)
* Minimum of 2–3 years' experience leading a high-performing sales team within the hotel sector
* Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed ambitious sales targets and contribute to sustained business growth
* Proficient in industry-standard systems (e.g., Delphi, I-Know reporting, MeetingBroker)
* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders
* Proven leadership in motivating and managing successful sales teams with a culture of performance and accountability
* University qualifications in business or a related discipline
* Highly organised with strong time management skills, able to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities
* Thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating resilience and adaptability
