Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Project Controls and Planning Specialist within a leading mining and resources organisation.
Due to a commitment to asset upgrades to improve performance on the project, this exciting opportunity is available.
Key responsibilities of this role include: Develop and implement project control systems and processes to ensure project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation are effectively managed Develop and maintain accurate project plans, schedules, costs, and forecasts, utilizing industry-standard software and tools Track and monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and implement corrective actions Analyze project performance data to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate project status and performance to stakeholders Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and management to ensure effective project execution Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the project controls function The successful candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field 3+ years of experience in project controls and planning, preferably in the mining industry Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles Proficient in project planning and scheduling software (Primavera P6, SAP PowerBi) Previous project cost control experience is highly beneficial Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role and preference will be given to those with mining experience.
