Vocus are seeking a proactive & skilled
**Site & Power Supervisor** to join the Major Projects Team on a full-time, 15 month fixed-term contract.
This role is open to applicants preferably with a home location within
**Adelaide, South Australia** - however applicants based in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & Brisbane are also encouraged to apply.
**Please note**: Frequent travel is required as part of this role. The Site & Power Supervisor will be required to travel frequently to site locations in remote Western Australia.
**About the Role**
The Vocus Major Projects Group work on high value, high accountability telecommunications infrastructure projects. The Site and Power Supervisor is a key part of completion and handover of these projects, and therefore a high attention to detail is required.
- Full-time, fixed-term contract opportunity for 15 months duration. Opportunity to extend employment after initial contract
- On-site role, frequent travel from home location to site location in Pilbara, remote Western Australia. Travel accommodation, meals & expenses covered during site visits.

**Your key responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to**:
- Ensure compliance with Vocus procedures regarding WHS, work instructions, quality assurance, and compliance with third party policies and technical requirements for the new Project Horizon cable, equipment, and facilities.
- Liaise with all levels of Vocus management, engineering and design and contractor staff regarding the installation and commissioning of all Vocus transmission and integration equipment, and interface with third party equipment.
- Supervise and direct contractors in complex test procedures and under a high-pressure environment.
- Test, handover, and acceptance of new CEV sites.
- Provide input into new Network site build for Vocus and external tenders.
- Oversee contractor performance of all facets of network elements along the Project Horizon route.
- Ensure that the testing and integration of all new network elements are performed in compliance with Vocus Network O&M requirements.
- Provide technical support and instruction to contractor and Vocus staff regarding installation and commissioning of the new equipment.
- Identify and manage risks and issues that may prevent successful execution of the project
**About You**
- Strong technical experience working within telecommunications plants and facilities.
- Prior experience with DC Power construction & maintenance, Batteries & Solar Systems
- Certification as a qualified electrician is desirable, however not essential
- Personal experience in operation and maintenance of various types of transmission equipment
- Ability to liaise with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to liaise with aboriginal heritage teams/authorities, local shires, road authorities if required
- Deep understanding of Work Health, Safety and Environment requirements
