THE ROLE
Our client currently has a position available for an experienced Residential Construction Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate attention to detail, pride in their work and the ability to work unsupervised.
You will be responsible for the overall construction and finished quality of all new home projects. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and confidently manage 15‐20 jobs across the Moreton Bay and south Sunshine Coast area.
DUTIES
* Managing the overall site performance and finished quality of multiple construction projects at once, ensuring the highest of standards by trades
* Scheduling and managing a wide variety of trades and subcontractors to maximise site production
* Maintain existing trades and subcontractor relationships and develop new potential relationships
* Monitor build timeframes closely to ensure contractual obligations are met
* Continuously review building practices and procedures
* Liaising, on site walk‐throughs and meetings with clients
* Follow WHS management & Quality Control systems, to maintain a high standard of safe working practices and conditions at all times
* Perform Project Inspections, defects listing and rectification from the start of job to completion
* Solve construction issues with trades and suppliers in an efficient timeframe
ABOUT YOU
* 2+ Years of work experience in residential construction site Supervision/management
* Carpentry skills preferred but not essential
* Must have current QLD drivers licence & white card
* Must have in depth understanding of construction procedures, and materials along with project management principles with an eye for detail
* Proven time management and organisational skills
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple conflicting tasks and projects
* Ability to work well in a team and independently
* Ability to learn new systems and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
* Know how to read relevant construction documentation such as working drawings
* Understanding of national construction codes and other relevant legislation
* QBCC Site Supervisor Licence essential
