Job Summary
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled plumber to transition into a technical advisory position. As a Plumbing Inspector, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality and compliance of plumbing and drainage installations within the building industry.
Main Responsibilities:
* Compliance Management: Accurately assess and issue permits for plumbing and drainage work, guaranteeing adherence to relevant Acts, Regulations, and Council policies within stipulated timeframes.
* Technical Support: Provide precise and timely information and guidance to property owners, contractors, consultants, and tradespeople.
* Site Inspections: Conduct independent inspections of ongoing works to verify compliance with the Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019.
* Investigations: Investigate and report on instances of non-compliant plumbing and drainage practices.
Requirements:
* A valid qualification in plumbing and/or related field.
* Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
