Onsite Service Desk Officer (IT) - 1st/2nd level support for a large Western Sydney organisation. Contract Mar-Jul., local gov experience essential.

* 1st & 2nd level support across Windows 10, O365, meeting rooms

What you'll be doing
Provide 1st and 2nd level support via phone, email and other channels, escalating when required.
Log, track and update tickets in an IT Service Management system (including follow-up to confirm resolution).
Troubleshoot user issues and provide clear, practical guidance.
Support Windows 10, end‐user hardware/software and audio‐visual / meeting room setups.
Configure and install hardware/software to agreed standards.
Maintain documentation, asset registers and knowledge notes.
Work collaboratively with other teams and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality and follow information security expectations.
Support occasional overtime / flexible hours when needed.
What we're looking for (essentials)
Certificate IV in Information Technology (or related).
Solid experience in an IT support / service desk environment (local government).
Experience supporting enterprise environments (networking/apps/infrastructure).
Confident with Windows 10 support and AV/meeting room tech.
Strong written and verbal communication (you can explain tech to non‐tech users).
Highly regarded
ITIL v3/v4 Foundation.
Microsoft certification (MCP / MCSE or similar).
Exposure to Active Directory, SCCM, Office 365, and Technology One.
Experience in a multi‐site environment (switches/routers/wireless).
