Job Description

Are you tired of working in clinics with long days and billable KPIs? Do you want to remember why you became a clinician in the first place?

Established in 2025, Allied Awakening is a recent allied health provider in the hunter region of NSW. Our founding director is a speech pathologist with nearly 10 years experience as a clinician and leader in the disability industry.

About The Role As a contracting speech pathologist, you will be in charge of scheduling your own day and managing a caseload of clients of mixed adult and paediatric populations in the community.

You will have outstanding prioritisation skills and the ability to work to arrange your schedule sufficiently. You will have a passion for supporting clients in their home, school and community activities.

Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience managing a caseload of clients. Ability to work across the lifespan with people with disabilities.

Implement evidence-based practices into ongoing therapy plans Regularly review therapy outcomes and adjust interventions as needed Prepare comprehensive reports, including NDIS plan review reports

Educate and engage with participants, stakeholders, family members and communication partners. Provide services through various modes: in-person and via telehealth.

Criteria Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology. Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.

Current First Aid Certificate Current Driver Licence and Car

Own ABN and professional indemnity, public liability and personal injury insurances Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check

Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination (minimum two doses) Experience working with a range of clients with varying support needs Experience supporting NDIS participants and private clients.

Clear understanding of the NDIS Framework and Practice Standards Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with diverse participants and stakeholders
