You'll know we provide health insurance and aged care services across Australia and you've probably also seen our dental and optical clinics in your local shopping centres. But what you might not realise is that we also deliver health assessments on behalf of the Australian Government via Bupa Medical Visa Services, for people who are applying for visas to live, work or study in Australia.

As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, we're growing our network of Visa Medical Assessment Centres so we can provide a Bupa experience for our visa applicants in the communities where they live. This has created a range of frontline and leadership roles in new purpose-built medical centres and opportunities to grow your career with a global health care brand where our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

About the role:

Our receptionist team are the first point of contact for our customers in our Docklands Visa Medical Assessment Centres and provide information and instructions to help guide our customers through the medical assessment process - making sure that customers are aware of what they need to do and why.

We're looking for:

A Receptionist to join our super supportive and bubbly team on a fixed term full-time contract (until September 2026):

* Located in our Docklands Bupa Medical Visa Medical Assesment Centre, walking distance to Spencer Outlet
* The role includes weekend work during peak season (up to two weekends per month)
* Medical centre hours are from 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am - 4:30pm Saturday & Sunday so there is an expectation you will be able to work these hours as requested across a rotating roster.
* 38 hours per week, fixed term contract until September 2026
* Two weeks of training provided to set you up for success

As part of our professional Reception and Concierge team you will be greeting customers and ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed and resolved with a customer-focused, respectful, caring and professional approach. You will be adhering to established process and procedure accurately to assist customers through the steps of the assessment process, including:

* Conducting an identity and security check and escalate any identified risks
* Processing payments via EFTPOS
* Confirming customer documentation is completed to requirements and processing forms
* Confirming which examinations the customer is required to complete and explaining this to the customer
* Entering required data and information into customer management systems and databases
* Explaining the steps throughout the visa medical examination and ensuring the customer understands the key elements of the visa medical examination process

About You

Our receptionists come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you'll need:

* Previous administration and customer facing experience - this is not your average receptionist position (3 years minimum ideal)
* Demonstrated customer focus and a professional, service-orientated and helpful approach
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate and constant outcomes in a busy and repetitious environment
* Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and staff, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and adapting communication style to meet the needs of the customer as well as convey information and key points clearly and concisely
* Sound IT and computer skills
* The ability to work effectively within a highly structured environment driven by procedure and process, and adhere to established processes, quality standards and targets
