About the Role

The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and specialist counsellors, to provide comprehensive treatment services for patients with drug or alcohol addiction.
You will be responsible for coordinating access to and follow-up for clients who are being considered for or receiving care under the Severe Substance Dependent Treatment Act (SSDTA).
Classifications for this position will range from NO1 - NO2.
Your Contribution
* A qualification in or equivalent: Nurse Practitioner – APHRA endorsed and registration which meets the registration requirements of the Nurses Board of Victoria in Division 1 or 3.
* A minimum of 5 years clinical experience – preferably in the AOD or related sector.
* Experience in Addiction Medicine and/or related fields.
* Working knowledge of the SSDTA and the Victorian AOD service sector.
* Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

This DoAM Nurse Practitioner (NP) role is based within the Emergency Dept. on weekends and at DoAM outpatients the other three days.
