Overview
Optimal Medical Solutions is currently seeking a full-time experienced Production Supervisor to work with us from our Myaree office in Western Australia. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and Pharmacy Operations Manager. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth production operations and meeting customers delivery deadlines.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day production packing, working closely with the Production Manager, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Operations Manager to ensure that our pharmacy clients receive premium grade products in an efficient and timely manner. This position is responsible for allocating resources effectively to support successful client services and operational outcomes for our business.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Lead, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing staff to achieve production targets by clearly communicating expectations, planning, monitoring job results, and providing necessary coaching.
* Coordinate staff rostering and assign tasks to maintain an efficient workflow in the cleanroom/production area.
* Develop and deliver training and education materials to staff members on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality control procedures.
* Implement cost-saving strategies and process optimization techniques to enhance production efficiency while maintaining strict quality standards.
* Manage production inventory by monitoring stock levels, anticipating raw materials/medication needs, and coordinating with the inventory department to ensure timely ordering and supply.
* Ensure the proper storage and safe condition for all raw materials, intermediates, and finish packed products, adhering to temperature, humidity, and security requirements.
* Regularly evaluate the condition of production equipment to ensure calibration and proper functioning.
* Observe and follow all relevant regulations and industry guidelines for pharmaceutical practices, including maintaining stringent cleanliness, health and safety protocols in the work environment and upholding the utmost confidentiality and security of patient information.

* Possesses strong team management skills, including the ability to coordinate resources effectively, as well as demonstrated experience in implementing sound workplace organisational practices.
* Display and maintain well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand client needs and provide client support for Optimal Medical Solutions.
* Good oral and written communication and negotiation skills to have working relationships that effectively impact change.

* Skills in a range of information and communication technology (ICT) systems (including the Microsoft Office suite) and the ability to learn new ICT systems and processes as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum qualification required is Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a Manufacturing/Industrial. In the absence of formal qualification, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
* Minimum 3 years of experience as Production/Manufacturing Supervisor.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyse data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles will be considered an advantage.
