We are seeking an innovative and experienced Commis Chef to deliver a memorable experience by creating a place to savour for our guests and establish The Langham, Gold Coast a dining institution.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook and present high quality a la carte dishes to five star standards
* Support Senior Chefs in daily kitchen operations and service delivery
* Maintain consistency, presentation and flavour across all dishes
* Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
* Work collaboratively within a friendly, fast paced, professional kitchen environment
About You
Our Commis Chef will be driven to work alongside highly skilled chefs, refining their technique as well as contributing to a world-class guest experience. It is preferrable that you have experience in high end volume operations at a luxury hotel/High End Restaurant or Café and proven experience leading teams to meet a level of high performance across food quality and innovation.
Other key attributes we are looking for include:
* Sound knowledge of the latest trends in the industry
* Experience delivering bespoke menus and amenities.
* Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality experience
* Proven ability to work in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
* Creative, eye for Detail and a Flair for Presentation
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Completed technical education in hospitality or culinary school
* Australian work rights
