Assessment and Planning Officer - Broken Hill Correctional Centre

Salary: $97,027.00 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Assessment and Planning Officer who will be responsible for conducting assessments, education planning interviews, and supervising inmates' access to computers and education facilities.
The role relies on accurate recording of information maintaining administrative duties relating to integrated case management and departmental KPT's at the Broken Hill Correctional Centre.
What you'll do:
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of appropriate education and vocational training programs for offenders.
* Conduct assessments and planning activities to inform the development of offender education and employment plans.
* Contribute to offender case management by providing regular reports on inmate learning progress and achievement and by participating in a range of case management activities.
* Participate in centre-based activities to support the delivery of offender education and vocational training programs.
* Maintain related administrative duties including recording of offender participation, progress and achievement in accordance with established systems and processes.
Excellent communication skills are needed in both written and verbal, with the ability to interact and motivate inmates while working autonomously in a fast-paced volatile environment.
