About Our Client:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Fitter Machinist to join our clients team in Singleton, NSW.
Our client is a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service.
Operating for many years, they specialise in precision machining, fitting, and fabrication, supporting a wide range of industries.
What you will be doing:
- Precision machining of components using lathes, mills, drills, and other workshop machinery
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Fitting, assembly, and repair of mechanical parts and equipment
- Measuring and checking completed components against tolerances (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
- Routine maintenance and set-up of workshop machines and tools
- General workshop housekeeping and adherence to safe work practices
- Assisting with fabrication or welding tasks as required (if qualified)
What you will need:
- Australian Trade Qualification Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical Trade / Fitting & Machining)
- Demonstrated workshop machining and fitting experience
- Strong knowledge of machining tolerances and measuring equipment
- Proven commitment to safe work practices
- Current drivers licence and reliable transport
