Village Early Education Group has multiple Centres in Victoria. Our Bendigo East Centre is recruiting NOW! Roughly 20-25 hours per week, this role is perfect for your work/life balance.
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Kitchen Assistant to create a fresh, delicious, wholesome menu that lines up with the changing seasons and introduces the children to various cultural flavors and stirs excitement and anticipation for what the next meal will bring in collaboration with our Centre Cook.

To be considered you will:
Hold a Certificate III in cookery (as a minimum qualification) and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Be responsible for designing and auditing an appropriate rotating menu for children of all culture backgrounds which includes children with allergies, intolerance and any other dietary requirements
Be able to work within a budget, order goods an stock control
Be able to work autonomously, be reliable and well organised
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and order expected in a safe kitchen
Be able to work collaboratively with Educators and children within the service
You must be passionate and have the ability to inspire and motivate the team while maintaining a positive learning culture within the centre for our little learners, our families, and your fellow Educators.
