THE OPPORTUNITY
PLS is looking for a motivated Mining Production Supervisor (Development) to join our great team.
As a valued member of our Production Mining team, and reporting to the Mining Production Superintendent, you'll be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe execution of mining development operations on site including hands‑on operating activities.
This is a permanent position, on an 8 / 6 roster (day shift only) based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
* Contract management
* Development works' capital budget management
* Job design review and sign off
* Expansion management
* Safe operation of Mobile Mining Equipment.
* Road development and maintenance
* Dump clearing, topsoil management and design compliance
* Pit development planning and budgeting
* Supporting the operational leadership team
* Managing interface with external roads and works
Safety and Environmental
* Maintain our strong safety culture.
* Ensure consistency and compliance with all WHS requirements.
* Ensure hazards are reported and actioned daily.
People & Relationships
* Work to foster a positive and psychosocially supportive work environment.
* Maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
* Provide support, coaching and guidance to team members.
Performance & Operations
* Drive efficiency.
* Ensure procedures and protocols are always followed.
* Ensure daily work activity and office duties are managed effectively.
ABOUT YOU
* Proven experience in a relevant leadership role in mining operations and / or development projects.
* Strong knowledge of open‑cut mining equipment, processes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
* Familiarity with WA DMIRS guidelines, industry best practices and WHS risks section 26.
* Effective communication, leadership, and project management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Current WA Driver's Licence : HR preferred.
* S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification.
* Current QM ticket or working towards; highly advantageous.
