Job Description
Deliver exceptional dining experiences by providing culinary excellence. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent internal service and promote a positive working environment.
1. Prepare, cook and present delicious food made to order with care;
2. Maintain workplace hygiene procedures (HACCP) ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met;
3. Report any issues that may affect kitchen operations immediately to the Head Chef;
4. Conduct food preparation and cooking duties, ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards;
5. Be aware of meal times and the importance of timeliness, efficiency and presentation of all meals;
6. Arrange, prepare and break down the buffet and food displays while maintaining high standards of presentation.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification or equivalent;
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures;
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks;
* Effective communication skills;
* Ability to follow verbal instructions and retain directions;
* Basic knowledge of guest dietary requirements such as food allergies and intolerances;
* Knowledge of food safety principles;
* Food Safety Certification an advantage;
* Industry experience in high-volume kitchen operations.
