About the Opportunity
Carbal Medical Services is looking for full-time or part-time General Practitioners to join their team based in either Toowoomba or Warwick, QLD.
Reporting to the Chief Clinical Operations Officer and Clinical Lead, you will deliver culturally safe, patient-focused, and evidence-based healthcare.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to shaping Carbal's high-performing, community-led medical model.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing high-quality, evidence-based primary health care services
Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
Delivering culturally safe and trauma-informed care to a diverse patient population
Participating in preventative health programs and health promotion
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Allied Health
Supporting care continuity and integrated care pathways
Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
For fellowship-qualified GPs: supervise registrars and contribute to growth of training programs.
Option to develop a special interest (e.g. women's health, dermatology, chronic disease, Indigenous health), with organisational support.

Essentials
AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
Eligible to work in Australia
Commitment to culturally safe healthcare, especially for First Nations clients
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a broader care team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
Fellowship (FRACGP or ACRRM) — ideal for supervising trainees
Experience working in an Aboriginal Medical Service, ACCHO, or culturally diverse health setting
Comfort working in regional/rural environments and openness to flexibility

About the Benefits
Remuneration is based on a generous percentage of billings, with daily earnings typically ranging between $2,000 and $3,000.
Recent earnings data from our GPs shows that Carbal's percentage-of-billings model can deliver annual earnings between $305,000 and $398,000, even when working flexible, part-time schedules.
This strong earning potential is driven by Carbal's multidisciplinary AMS model, where GPs benefit not only from their own consultations, but also from:
