Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
* 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
Preferred qualifications:
* 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
* Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, research, and other stakeholders.
* Experience in consumer-facing product development in navigation, driving, geospatial, or automotive domains.
* Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational perspectives.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and investigative skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, including writing PRDs and strategy documents, and delivering presentations to senior leadership.

The Google Geo Automotive team develops driver-facing products for platforms like CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google-built-in vehicles. We aim to create seamless driving experiences that empower drivers for both daily commutes and long trips.
As a Product Manager, you will drive the roadmap for key driving features across various vehicle makes and models, including electric vehicles. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, partners, researchers, and data scientists to develop intuitive, driver-centric experiences.
The Geo team focuses on creating accurate, comprehensive maps through products like Google Maps, Earth, Street View, and the Maps Platform, serving over a billion users monthly.
We also enable developers to leverage Google Maps APIs to enhance their applications. Our work involves solving complex computer science problems, designing user-friendly products, and advancing our understanding of the physical world.
Responsibilities
* Define and execute the product roadmap within automotive driving, setting strategy for key features.
* Collaborate with engineering, design, research, and data science teams to develop, test, and launch new products and features.
* Understand driver needs and pain points, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Work with business development to understand automotive industry trends and ensure product integration worldwide.
* Identify and mitigate product risks, ensure timely, high-quality delivery, and communicate progress to stakeholders including leadership.
