Description
In this role, you will undertake a graduate program and gain experience in environmental functions in a local government environment.
You will support the team in the areas of environmental compliance, protection, improvement and sustainable practices. You will provide input into the development, implementation and presentation of management plans, policies and programs, relevant to environmental sustainability and awareness and environmental health and compliance.
These duties will help you develop a solid foundation to your environmental career and help you grow from the ground up.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
* Degree level qualifications in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering or a related degree, completed within the previous two years or by early 2026.
* Contemporary industry knowledge of public health, environmental, waste management.
* Current Class C driver's licence.
Benefits
This is a full-time, temporary role working a 35‐hour week, with a salary commencing from $70,728.84 per year + 12% super. Graduates will also have access to Council's great staff benefits such as flexible working arrangements and a fitness passport.
