About this opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is a key member of the Factory Leadership team, based in Chullora. The Logistics Manager role will be a hands-on operational role, with responsibility for running all the logistics aspects of the laundry.
Key responsibilities:
* Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
* Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle(pick up and delivery)
* Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency to meet and exceed industry standards
* Arrange warehouse, dispatch goods, plan routes maintaining the run sheet and process delivery's and pick up
* Resolve any arising problems or complaints
* Supervise, coach and train logistics workforce
* Manage and maintain roster including annual leave and absenteeism
* Discipline staff
* Recruit new staff
* Manage and maintain the fleet maintenance.
* Maintain fleet vehicle cleanliness and housekeeping
* Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timelines targets
* Maintain GPS and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
* Comply with laws, regulations and ISO quality requirements
* Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
* Liaise with dispatch, production, customers, key account managers
* Implement the pit stop process and procedure
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
* 5 years in a similar position, or elements of the position
* Experience working in a 24/7 Operation
* Prior experience working in Laundry highly desirable
* Superior communication skills. A personable leader across all levels (from shop floor to leadership team), and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders
* Experienced in budget preparation and ownership
* Supply Chain Management degree will be regarded as favourable
* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required
* Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
* Valid Australian driver's licence (essential for fleet management duties)
