The Role
Set along the stunning coastline of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, Discovery Parks – Streaky Bay is a welcoming holiday destination offering a mix of cabins and caravan sites for travelling guests, families and long‐stay visitors. The park features 34 cabins, 73 powered sites and 24 unpowered sites, operating as a friendly, community‐focused park with exciting future development opportunities planned.
As Assistant Park Manager, you'll play a vital hands‐on role supporting daily operations and stepping in as Manager‐in‐Charge when required. This is a live‐in position suited to someone who enjoys variety, guest interaction and being actively involved across all areas of park operations. From customer service and team leadership to grounds, housekeeping and compliance, you'll help ensure the park runs smoothly and guests enjoy a memorable stay.

What You'll Be Doing
Support daily park operations and administrative tasksAct in charge of the park during the Park Manager's absenceDeliver friendly, professional guest service and handle guest enquiries and issuesLead and support staff, fostering a positive team environmentAssist with grounds, maintenance and housekeeping tasks as requiredUphold safety, compliance and organisational standardsParticipate in kids' activities and occasional evening/night activitiesManage after‐hours phone duties as rosteredHelp ensure smooth operations across weekends and peak periods
What You'll Need
Experience in hospitality, tourism, parks or accommodation (leadership experience highly regarded)Strong customer service and communication skillsA hands‐on, proactive and solutions‐focused approachAbility to work weekends and a rotating 5 days on / 2 days off rosterWillingness to live onsite and take after‐hours calls part of the weekComfortable working across operational, administrative and practical tasksA valid driver's licence
Before receiving a job offer, candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance. Additionally, a valid Working with Children's Check specific to the state is required.
This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
