Our Workplace Rehabilitation Team is seeking a dedicated Workplace Rehabilitation Specialist to support individuals who have been injured at work in achieving quality recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
Job Description:
This role involves providing personalized support to clients with physical injuries or psychological disorders, identifying barriers preventing them from returning to work, and organizing appropriate interventions with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for monitoring the progress of clients, maintaining regular contact, compiling case records, and writing return-to-work plans.
Additionally, you will provide information to assist individuals in understanding and resolving barriers, attend medical appointments with clients, complete reports after assessments and meetings, and communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of clients with physical injuries or psychological disorders
* Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work
* Organize appropriate intervention with various stakeholders
* Monitor the progress of clients by maintaining regular contact
* Compile regular case records
* Write return-to-work plans
* Assist individuals to understand and resolve barriers by providing information
* Attend medical appointments with clients
* Complete reports after assessments and meetings
* Communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnosis and treatment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Current registration with AASW - essential
* At least one year's experience in a similar role
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work
* Car and valid Driver's license
* Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement
* Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
