Provisional Psychologists / New Grad Social Workers
Stride is a leader in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, and in early childhood intervention. Stride, in partnership with Wellways and Clarity Health Care, will open the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre in Dubbo and Bathurst. The Medicare Mental Health Centre is funded by the Australian Government and Western NSW Primary Health Network to provide a free, safe and welcoming space for mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment or referral is required.
The service combines peer-led recovery and clinical support aimed at better mental health and social wellbeing for the regional NSW community. It offers an alternative to presenting to ED for low risk individuals, with access to trained mental health professionals within the community, outside a clinical setting.

Role Overview
Deliver high quality evidence based clinical care as a member of the multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers.
* Conduct intake and assessments, including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal and external services, and provide brief psychological intervention.

* Engage with clients to provide assessment and intervention within a multidisciplinary setting
* Coordinate care with internal and external services and document appropriately
Requirements
* Must have one of the following: Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker (suitable for graduate Social Worker seeking mental health experience)
* Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based interventions and clinical practice in mental health and substance use
* Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain relationships with staff, clients, families, friends and stakeholders
* Experience with electronic client/customer management systems, desktop computer proficiency, and Microsoft Office
* Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
* Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
