Ostojic Group is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis.
Purpose of the Position
Supporting the Project Team in areas of cost management, daily and weekly project analysis, quality assurance, weekly reporting and assistance with operations as required by the Project Team.
Requirements
* C Class Licence
* Nationally Recognised Construction Induction Card
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
* Minimum of 2 years' experience involving civil construction projects (subdivision and/or road construction highly desirable)
* Strong communication and time‑management skills, self‑motivated and works well within a team environment
* Excellent reporting skills
* Ability to read and interpret contract documents and project drawings
* Experience with subcontract management
* Great work ethics
Desirable (Highly Regarded)
* First Aid Training
* Fire Warden Training
General Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Always present yourself fit for work. Attention to detail regarding personal presentation, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment or vehicles. Correctly complete and timely submit all relevant paperwork associated with your position.
Monitor product delivery to ensure it meets required standard, on time and to budget while satisfying the needs of the client and company. Manage all documentation and correspondence throughout the project. Implement, monitor and continuously improve Ostojic Group's project management system.
Act as liaison with the client to protect Ostojic Group's contractor position throughout the project. Administer contracts of sub‑contractors, suppliers and plant hires. Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
Take an active role in all toolboxes, pre‑start and safety meetings. Represent the company to clients positively and professionally. Be responsible for day‑to‑day implementation of the Quality Management Plan.
Participate in project mobilisation meetings where applicable. Participate in inspections, audits and emergency evaluations. Report all HSEQ matters to the Project Manager and HSEQ Advisor. Maintain site quality control and compliance with the project and IMS system. Coordinate the supply and delivery of materials onsite per construction drawings and in liaison with the site supervisor and subcontractors.
Participate in all HSEQ management training identified as required for the project. Analyse, resolve and report all construction engineering issues. Assist with relevant project risk evaluations and preparation of WHS instructions or Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Ensure all ITPs and other quality items are completed.
Remuneration
Salary: $135,000 + Super.
