Role Description
* We're looking for a Marketing & Content Specialist who's attentive to detail, organised, and understands how marketing supports the entire business process..
* You'll be the driving force behind everything our customers and team see. This includes social content, ads, brochures, presentations, and internal assets that support sales and day-to-day operations.
* You'll own the marketing calendar, create content that looks professional and performs, and keep campaigns running smoothly across digital, print, and offline channels. If something is being seen, shared, printed, emailed, or promoted, you'll likely be involved.
* This is a hands‑on role where you'll shape how Shed Bonanza shows up day‑to‑day, with a strong focus on consistency, performance, and output quality.
* This role suits someone with strong foundations who's ready to take ownership and continue developing their skills in a hands‑on, high‑impact role.
* This is an on‑site role based at our Narre Warren office, with regular on‑site collaboration and content creation.
* If you're curious, proactive, and committed to high‑quality work, you'll thrive here. We provide hands‑on mentoring, support, and real opportunities for development, helping you build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to succeed and grow in this role over time.
What You'll Do
* Plan, create, and publish content across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Business, and other channels
* Own day‑to‑day marketing execution, reporting directly to the CEO and taking responsibility for how the brand shows up across all channels
* Keep our website, ads, and social channels consistent, professional, and on‑brand
* Create both external and internal marketing assets to support sales, operations, and customer communication
* Write captions, emails, and website content that drive enquiries and clearly represent the brand
* Design marketing materials using Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva (Canva alone won't cut it)
* Manage and optimise Google, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta ad campaigns with a focus on enquiry quality and long‑term brand reputation
* Monitor and respond to reviews and social comments professionally and on‑brand, and in a timely manner
* Support and improve existing EDMs and create new campaigns, including reporting and ongoing optimisation
* Work closely with the Sales Manager and wider team to ensure marketing supports real business outcomes
* Track and report on meaningful metrics such as enquiries, quote requests, engagement quality, and overall brand perception
* Produce how‑to videos, product explainers, and customer case studies
* Keep campaigns, assets, and schedules organised so nothing slips through the cracks
* Create content on‑site as required
* Assist with TV and radio advertising, including creative coordination and rollout support
You'll Exceed in This Role If You
* Can manage multiple projects without losing control
* Don't need hand‑holding and take ownership naturally
* Care about how things look, read, and perform
* Understand how content, ads, and platforms work together
* Write clearly and naturally
* Stay calm when things get busy
* Are confident using Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva
* Bring common sense, curiosity, and a practical mindset
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualification in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (preferred, not essential)
* 3‑6 years' experience in a marketing, content, or design‑related role (agency or in‑house)
* Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (Canva experience required; Canva‑only backgrounds not suitable)
* Experience creating and publishing content across social media platforms and digital channels
* Basic to intermediate experience with EDMs (e.g. ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, or similar), including reporting on open and click rates
* Exposure to Google and Meta advertising platforms, or a strong willingness to learn performance marketing
* Strong understanding of website content management systems (e.g. WordPress or similar)
* Ability to produce content on‑site, including photography and short‑form video
* Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and brand consistency
* Driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites as required
What we offer
* A hands‑on role with ownership, reporting directly to the CEO and trusted to run day‑to‑day marketing execution
* Clear impact and visibility: your work directly influences enquiries, sales conversations, and how the brand shows up
* Competitive salary package aligned with experience and responsibility
* Autonomy and trust, with support when needed but no micromanagement
* A stable, long‑established family business with over 46 years of history and a strong reputation in Victoria
* Opportunities to grow your skills across content, performance marketing, video, and multi‑channel campaigns
* Varied, interesting work across digital, print, on‑site content, and broader brand activity
* Supportive, practical team environment that values quality, common sense, and doing things properly
* Long‑term role with continuity and stability
