About the Role
L2X is seeking a highly skilled ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure and automation projects. This is a senior-level position responsible for end-to-end management of quality-accredited ICT projects, ensuring that complex network solutions are deployed within the agreed risk profile, budget, and timeframe.
As a specialist Project Manager, you will not only oversee schedules but also direct the technical integration of ICT systems, manage vendor relationships, and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to success.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your duties will include:
* ICT Project Direction: Plan, organise, and control the delivery of ICT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the business's strategic technology roadmap.
* Stakeholder Governance: Establish project structures to engage and manage senior stakeholders, technical vendors, and partners across the APAC region.
* Technical Resource Management: Develop resource profiles to ensure technical specialists, facilities, and ICT tools are available to meet project demands.
* Risk & Quality Oversight: Apply rigorous ICT risk management frameworks. You will identify technical dependencies and maintain contingency plans to protect project integrity.
* Financial & Scope Control: Manage the "Iron Triangle" of ICT delivery—cost, time, and quality—while ensuring compliance with PMO governance and customer technical policies.
* Lifecycle Transition: Oversee the transition of ICT projects into operational environments, ensuring all ongoing tracking and benefit realisation processes are in place.
Required Background & Skills
To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate:
* Industry Experience: At least three years of dedicated Project Management experience specifically within the Telecommunications or ICT sector .
* Technical Domain Expertise: Demonstrable track record in managing Cisco solutions and Network Automation projects.
* Methodology: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMBOK) and advanced proficiency in MS Project .
* Telco Environment: Experience leading medium-to-high risk projects within major carrier environments (e.g., Optus, Cisco, or Vodafone).
* Communication: Ability to translate complex ICT architectures and technical plans into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
* Leadership: Ability to work alongside and manage a team of project managers internally and advise stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field.
* Certification: PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly regarded.
* Availability: Flexibility to support systems during evening or weekend maintenance windows as required by the project deployment schedule.
