We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis. Our hospital offers a friendly and supportive staff environment, with established multidisciplinary teams servicing both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.
This role provides the opportunity to experience a varied caseload across areas including general medical, ICU, cardiac, maternity, and oncology.

Responsibilities:
* Providing exceptional clinical care to patients and their families.
* Completing thorough psychosocial assessments to identify individual needs.
* Delivering effective brief interventions with patients and their families, including counseling.
* Having the ability to work with complex care needs and develop personalized plans.
* Organizing services and support for patients and their families, including those with cognitive impairment.
* Contributing to the multidisciplinary care of patients and participating in team meetings.
* Involvement with both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, including group work.
* Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, including doctors, allied health, nurses, patients, and their families.
Requirements:
* A degree in Social Work and eligibility with the AASW.
* Minimum 2 years' previous experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience in adult acute inpatient hospital experience.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
