The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented Casual Web Designer to support our team on a project-by-project basis. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys collaborating with a strategic digital team while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.
You'll work alongside our Head of Design and UX, project managers and developers to bring websites to life—translating brand and strategy into intuitive, visually engaging digital experiences.
This is a casual position, with hours varying depending on project needs. Most work can be completed remotely, with the option to work from the Perth office if preferred.
What you'll do
* As a Web Designer at ALYKA, you'll help design websites that are not only visually engaging but also aligned with our clients' goals.
* Designing modern, user-centred website interfaces and page layouts
* Creating wireframes, mockups and high-fidelity designs in Figma
* Creating graphic and visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva to support web and marketing outputs
* Collaborating with project managers and developers to translate concepts into build-ready designs
* Ensuring designs align with brand guidelines and best-practice UX principles
* Designing responsive experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile
* Supporting updates, refinements, and improvements to existing client websites as needed
What you'll bring
* Experience designing websites or digital products
* Strong skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, or similar design tools
* A portfolio showcasing high-quality web and digital design work
* An understanding of UX/UI best practices and responsive design principles
* The ability to take strategic direction and translate it into clear, effective design solutions
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects
* Experience working in an agency environment or collaborating closely with developers (highly regarded)
* Experience with branding or visual identity design will be highly regarded
