Location: Northern Queensland (Townsville, Cairns, Mackay & surrounding regions)
About the Role
We are a leading National Distributor of premium home appliance brands (cooking, laundry, refrigeration, small appliances & AV related products) seeking an energetic and results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow our existing retail and buying group network across Northern Queensland.
This is a true "on-the-road" territory role with a mix of account management, new business development, and in-store merchandising support. You'll be the face of the company from Bundaberg to Cairns.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow an existing portfolio of electrical retailers
* Onboard and develop new independent accounts
* Achieve monthly and quarterly sales & distribution targets (KPIs provided)
* Conduct in-store training for retail sales staff on features, benefits & promotions
* Plan and execute in-store displays, promotions, and local area marketing
* Merchandise floor displays and maintain point-of-sale material
* Attend weekend & evening retail events/trade shows as required
* Provide relevant field intelligence updates to the National Management Team
* Regular regional travel
About You
* Proven field sales or account management experience (2+ years) – ideally within whitegoods, consumer electronics, or related industries
* Strong existing relationships with Electrical retailers in Northern QLD preferrable
* A hunter mentality with demonstrated new business success
* Excellent presentation, training, and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously from a home office
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly (overnight stays common)
* Tech-savvy – comfortable with MS Office Suite and CRM systems and dashboards
