Sales Consultant – Flooring & Window Coverings

Pay: Hourly rate, paid in accordance with the applicable award and experience

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Sales Consultant to join our flooring and window coverings team. This role involves in-home consultations, assisting with home renovations, and working closely with builders and tradespeople.
The position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. At times the role can be fast-paced and demanding, particularly when managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct in-home consultations throughout Mossman to Tolga (company car)
* Assist clients with flooring and window covering selections for renovations and new builds
* Liaise professionally with builders, trades, suppliers, and customers
* Measure window coverings using traditional tape measures
* Measure flooring areas using laser devices and iPads (training provided)
* Book and manage quotes, appointments, and workloads
* Process payments and maintain accurate records
* Maintain high attention to detail across all documentation and orders
* General tidying and organisation of showroom and work areas
* Safely handle trade supplies and boxes of tiles (up to 20kg)
* Safely use ladders when required, following workplace safety procedures

Skills, Experience & Attributes
* Previous sales or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
* Strong time management, organisation, and attention to detail
* Ability to manage workloads and work effectively under pressure
* Interest in interior design (training options available)
* Basic math & measuring knowledge is advantageous
* Willingness to learn new systems, products, and processes
* Physically capable of performing the inherent requirements of the role
* Reliable, punctual, and professional in presentation and communication
* Valid driver’s licence required. Forklift ticket preferred or willing to obtain if required.
