About the Role The Experience Designer contributes to the design and delivery of inclusive, and user-centred digital experiences across our digital services on our enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow and Microsoft. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Analysts and Policy Owners. The role supports design, and delivery activities to improve how users interact with products, services, and platforms. The role applies established experience design methods, such as journey mapping, prototyping, and usability testing, to inform design outcomes. The Experience Designer collaborates closely with product managers, delivery teams, developers, and policy stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into accessible, usable solutions. This position operates with guidance from senior designers, contributes to shared design assets and standards, and demonstrates a strong commitment to public value, accessibility, and continuous improvement.Employment type: Ongoing, Full-Time roleAttributes The role requires a proactive self-starter with a good understanding of government systems and processes and an ability to work in a complex, sensitive environment. As our ideal candidate, you will have: * Foundational knowledge of UX design methodologies, with a willingness to continue developing skills in contemporary design practices. Experience supporting the creation of design artefacts such as wireframes and user flows, with an interest in incorporating user needs throughout the design process * Experience assisting with evaluative user research activities, including usability testing. Developing ability to apply appropriate research methods with guidance, and to identify key insights to inform design decisions * Demonstrates sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach to working in changing environments * Developing communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including contributing to workshops, interviews and team discussions. Ability to document requirements and communicate design decisions clearly to team members * Ability to work effectively within an Agile team environment. Growing understanding of web technologies and how design decisions align with technical constraints to support user outcomes.
