About Your New Role
As the Team Leader Accounts Payable, you will provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight to a team responsible for processing supplier payment requests. Your role is vital in ensuring payments are managed efficiently and in compliance with internal policies and external legislation, including the ANTS (Goods & Services Tax) Act 2000 and the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act.

You will also act as a key contact point for resolving complex queries, supporting internal and external stakeholders, and driving improvements in accounts payable practices.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, support, and guide Accounts Payable and purchasing requisitioners.
* Prioritise and monitor invoice workflows to ensure efficient processing through the invoice management system.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, policies, and legislative requirements.
* Maintain system integrity and proactively address audit recommendations.
* Oversee GRIR (Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt) reporting and drive best-practice financial operations.
* Support officer training and development through procedure reviews and performance monitoring.
* Maintain strict information security and confidentiality across all activities.
* Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the procure-to-pay process.
* Communicate service issues and performance updates to the Supervisor – Accounts Payable.
* Manage and balance workloads in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

* Proven leadership experience in a financial services or accounts payable setting.
* Strong knowledge of relevant financial legislation and regulatory frameworks.
* A proactive mindset, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to service excellence.
