The Taylor Group is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to help manage all aspects of the kitchen operations at our popular multi award winning venue the Grovedale Hotel which has undergone a surge in popularity. Situated on the outskirts of Geelong, only 20 minutes from the surf coast, we aim to set a new standard of service and cuisine at the Grovedale Hotel.
We are seeking a person with progressive ideas about food across a range of cuisines to help lead our Grovedale Hotel kitchen team which is part of a locally owned hotel group that consists of Grovedale Hotel, Barwon Heads Hotel and the Torquay Hotel. Experience in high‑volume kitchens will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
* Ensuring quality food across the entire venue for regular service and functions
* To assist in managing food costs and meeting budgets
* Food Safety and OH&S
* To contribute to menu development and designing special seasonal offerings
* Ordering and management of food, including checking quantity and quality of products received
* Monitoring and maintenance of stock
* Working closely with head chef and key managers to design menus for functions as required
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar roll
* To assist in setting production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of service and coverage
* Training and development of kitchen team
