The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Internal Sales professional to join our team at Big River Group – Hume. This role plays a critical part in delivering exceptional customer service and providing seamless sales and administrative support to customers across the region.
Your Role
As an Internal Sales team member, you will play a key role in supporting customers and the external sales team by:
* Processing inbound sales orders via phone, email and over the counter
* Assisting Account Managers with order entry, customer follow-up and coordination
* Responding to customer enquiries with timely and accurate information
* Maintaining sales and customer records within company systems
* Preparing reports, quotes and updating customer databases
* Coordinating warranty claims and liaising with internal teams
* Supporting showroom displays, brochures and sales materials as required
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Previous experience in internal sales, administration or customer service
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organisational and time management capability
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* A collaborative team-focused approach, with the ability to work independently
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
* Knowledge of the timber or building products industry (advantageous)
* Understanding of WHS practices (valued)
