The role
Our client requires an experienced Business Analyst to lead the capture of business processes, detailed functional requirements, stakeholder mapping and change management activities. These foundational elements have not yet been formally established and are a must to help build the foundations of their functional GIS capability. You will also ensure to capture GIS dependencies supporting regulatory obligations, Management System compliance requirements and as-is state analysis. All these analysis and deliverables will support the ongoing day-to-day delivery of the GIS team plus additionally support the GIS transformation program, informing both solution design and the data modelling project phase. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years' experience as a Business Analyst spanning both Business needs and technology alignment Proven experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping and documentation in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong facilitation and workshop delivery skills across geographically dispersed teams. Experience producing high-quality artefacts: process maps, business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, stakeholder registers and change management artefacts. Ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex system capabilities into business language. Collaboration and tools Knowledge of GIS tooling and concepts in a business context, Mapinfo, GeoServer, Geocortex, Apollo and ArcGIS Enterprise (desktop, mobile and web plus enterprise integrations) Practical experience using AI-assisted tools Demonstrated experience using Nintex Process Manager (or equivalent) Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SPO, Excel, PowerBI) APPLY NOW - Don't send a cover letter, just your CV No overseas applications - Must be in Australia and have full work rights
