We are looking for a detail-oriented Research Assistant and Writer to review and interpret medical documentation, extract key data and conduct relevant research. This position does not require a clinical background but demands strong research, critical analysis and writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to medicolegal experts by reviewing medical documents to extract relevant data
* Conduct research into medical conditions and supports available and assist with determining costs for these supports
* Draft structured and concise summaries
Required Qualities and Qualifications:
* Strong work ethic and integrity
* Capacity to extract medical/scientific information and strong research skills
* High level critical thinking, analytical ability and attention to detail
* Excellent computing skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
* Proven capacity to both work within a team and to efficiently work independently
* Bachelor's or Master's level of education preferable and experience with medical or technical writing is advantageous
