What you'll be doing
This is a senior specialist nursing role where clinical expertise, research and leadership converge. As Clinical Nurse Consultant — HCC you will provide expert consultancy, lead MDT coordination and drive research, education and quality improvement in hepatocellular carcinoma care.
In this role you will:
* Provide expert client-centred nursing consultancy and coordinate clinical care for patients with HCC and advanced liver disease
* Lead and coordinate the weekly HCC multidisciplinary team meeting and implement clinical recommendations
* Perform specialised HCC-related investigative procedures and contribute to evidence-based clinical protocols
* Lead research projects, clinical audits and educational programs within the hepatology service
* Mentor nursing and allied health staff and build service capability through clinical education and practice leadership

Essential Criteria:
* Qualification: Registered Nurse; Post graduate qualification in the specialty field of Hepatology/Gastroenterology or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
* Registration: AHPRA Registered Nurse
* Licence: Driver

* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work with a proven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the utilisation of evidence based practice.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and an ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and to communicate effectively with a broad range of health professionals/services and social services.
* Proven ability to think critically and display leadership and teaching skills.
* Demonstrated excellent communication skills written and verbal.
* Ability to work in an autonomous role or function well in a multi-disciplinary team across services/departments.
* Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of health education resources.
