Director, Priority Projects * Lead a high-performing and inclusive in-house consulting team * Bring strong client-service and problem-solving skills to solve priority policy challenges, together with partner teams and stakeholders * Senior Executive Service Level 1 (SES-1), Fixed Term up to Three (3) Years The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Priority Projects to join its team. This role will work closely with senior executives to lead projects that seek to address some of the critical challenges facing the State. The role will contribute to policy development and problem solving across the breadth of the Department's portfolios. The In-House Professional services branch offers consulting services to the Department, uniquely combining the capability and efficiency of professional services consultants with the knowledge and networks of public servants. The Priority Projects Unit partners with teams across the Department to deliver critical policy projects, provide expert advice, and build capability. Reporting to the Executive Director, In-House Professional Services, the Director, Priority Projects will lead multidisciplinary project teams, employing problem solving, data analysis, stakeholder engagement and compelling communication skills to deliver excellent project and policy outcomes for the Department. The successful candidate will be an accomplished problem solver, with comprehensive understanding of public policy and government processes, and extensive experience leading public sector projects either as a public servant or as a consultant.
