**Description**:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Fitter for our Somersby Depot. The responsibilities will include maintenance and servicing of general and specialised road construction equipment and trucks including major overhauls and motor rebuilds as well as workshop-related administrative duties.
**We are looking for someone with the following attributes**:
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and productive working relationships;
- A commitment to safe work practices producing quality workmanship within the required timeframe;
- Be available to travel throughout NSW, and possibly interstate,
- Ability to work various work hours depending on work load as required
- Well-developed communication skills along with a team-oriented outlook.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Minimum Requirements are**:
- Australian Recognised relevant trade certificates and qualifications (heavy vehicle mechanic qualifications essential);
- Maintenance and Servicing experience on small and large equipment
- Previous experience working in planned and reactive maintenance environments, diagnosis, overhaul and maintenance repairs of heavy mobile plant and equipment.
- Current unrestricted NSW Class HR Australian Drivers Licence (HC license is preferred)
