Job Title: Trainee Driver
About the Role:
We are seeking expressions of interest from safety-focused individuals who want to become a locomotive driver. To excel in this position, you will need to learn new skills and put them into practice in the classroom.
You will work in accordance with our safety and operational standards and procedures. You will also undertake Locomotive driver training and successfully complete modules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply theoretical knowledge from training to practical operation
* Work 24x7 rotating shift roster 365 days a year including nights, weekends and public holidays
* Relish the opportunity to learn new skills and put into practice what you are taught
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills
* Superior team work skills
* A current unrestricted Class C drivers licence
* Be available to work 24/7 shift roster which incorporates rotations
* Be able to commence early and not have any prior commitments for the first 9 months of the training program
* Be able to be away from home for training for extended periods

Our recruitment process includes online testing, onsite testing/assessment centre, interview, Cat 1 rail medical/fitness test, traffic history infringement check and 5 years reference checking.
