LD Total are currently seeking General Gardeners to work within our company on our arterial roads contract. You need to be willing to work in a team environment to achieve time frame and schedule requirements, have a positive attitude and must have a driver’s licence.
This is a full-time position based in the Northern Suburbs of Perth.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the site supervisor.
- Maintaining large turf areas with ride on mowers, whipper snippers and edgers (using toro 3300/7500 whipper snipping and edging).
- Setting up and following traffic management plans.
- Blowing down pathways.
- General tidy up and making the playground, parks and streetscapes safe.
- Documenting and reporting on equipment faults.
- Delivering a high-quality end product to exceed client's expectations.
- Meet timelines and budgets.
Selection Criteria
- Landscape maintenance experience and/or trade qualification (working towards) in Parks & Gardens or Horticulture (preferred but not essential).
- Experience with ride on mowers, blowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, hand tools and power tools (preferred but not essential).
- Solid commitment to safe work practices.
- High level of personal work standards.
- Ability to work independently and have excellent time management skills.
- Capacity to work in all weather conditions.
- Driver's Licence (manual / MR preferred).
- Construction White Card.
- First Aid Certificate (an advantage).
- Traffic Management Qualification (an advantage).
