The Coordinator Procurement and Contracts role is a pivotal position within the organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement policies and frameworks. This permanent full-time position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain Council's Procurement Policy Framework in accordance with legislation and best practices.
* Provide strategic advice on procurement planning, sourcing, and contract management to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
* Coordinate tendering activities to ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
* Support WHS and insurance compliance for contractors in collaboration with the WHS Advisor.
* Identify, report, and mitigate procurement risks across the organization.
* Review procurement systems and recommend improvements for efficiency and compliance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience relevant to procurement and contract management.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence.
* Experience in strategic procurement and contract management planning.
* Proven ability to prepare tender documentation and apply competitive tendering principles.
* Strong contract management skills and ability to provide informed procurement advice.
* High ethical standards with the ability to manage confidential information.
